Additional Information from Fancy Kitty...
We would like to announce, we will be having the first annual Fancy kitty Missouri Fiber Jamboree at this location (The Willow, A Lake House Retreat) on the 25th of September 2010. All our customers and potential customers are welcome to attend, and you may bring a friend. We do request you be a serious fiber craft person.
The hours will be from about 10AM through 10PM. With several classes in a beautiful, informal, setting. We will cater lunch and have an evening BBQ.
We are doing this to allow a number of our customers and potential customers to get together, get acquainted, and discuss their fiber businesses. How and what is working for them marketing wise, and to learn from each others experiences, as well as gather some new crafting experience..
I (Ron, Fancy Kitty) will be giving a class on "The miracle of Internet Marketing".
In addition, we have asked some folks to volunteer to teach a few short classes, approximately 1 hour on a particular skill.
At this time Court (BoMac) will be teaching a class on carding very long fiber and other unusual fibers as well as dyeing with natural dyes.
Shalana (The Funky Felter) will be teaching a class on felting (needle & wet).
There will be one more class to be announced later. Of course, we will also have a number of our products on display for your use.
We have room for about 40 participants so please RSVP to
ron[at!]fancy-kitty.com as soon as possible with your name and the number of people to attend. This will be first come first serve, and we will send you a confirmation. There is no charge for this event, but please only RSVP if you are certain you can attend.

Specializing in Suri Alpacas and Alpaca Fiber Products
About the farm...
I just fell in love with the suri alpacas when we went alpaca shopping a few years ago. So we decided to jump right in and bought a few and then added 2 more girls almost a year later, and we now we have 12, with 2 more due any day. The fiber part of the business has taken right off with the luxurious and silky suri alpaca I offer. I card, spin, knit, crochet and felt items for sale. Visit my website at www.breezyridgealpacas.com or www.alpacanation.com and go to my store page where it takes you to my online shopping site. Not all of my items are listed as I am adding things constantly. I do several craft shows during the year and have a blast doing them. If you are in the area and want to see the alpacas or the things I make, please give us a call.

About Midwest Fiber Crafts and the Author
Hello, I'm Shalana, a traditional feltmaker and real fiber fanatic. My husband, baby girl, dog, and I live right in the middle of the Midwest in the Kansas City, Missouri, area. We usually attend several fiber related events each year. That inspired me to start this blog with postings of all kinds of fiber related events, shows, meeting, activities, information, and resources. I look forward to sharing what the Midwest has to offer. If you know of an event in the Midwest focused on fiber in some way, please submit it. The posting service is free! This blog is intended to be a good resource for all fiber enthusiasts located in the Midwestern United States.
You can find more information about myself and my fiber art endeavors at my personal blog and at my business website. And, if you'd like to get in touch with me about MFC, please email me. I'm always happy to hear from you!
